Translations in English of Italian texts on contemporary art, antique art, architecture, interior decoration and design
Translating writings on art can be quite a challenge, as art critics seem to favour a quite cryptic and complex style, and it takes a profound familiarity with both art history and art concepts to fully comprehend such texts and to make them as clear and readable as possible.
I have more than twenty years of experience with this type of translations, and have translated numerous publications (books, catalogues and magazine articles) on art, design and architecture for leading art publishers. I am a graduate of the Fine Arts Academy of Milan (Brera) and have always been interested in art, literature and the humanities in general.
I have been working for the same customers for many years, in some cases more than 10. I always deliver on time, and refuse work rather than running the risk of compromising on quality. I have never used translation software. I do not edit or revise the texts of other translators, and anything I take on will be translated by me.

Tradurre testi d’arte non è sempre facile. I critici d’arte si esprimono spesso in modo abbastanza astruso e complesso, e bisogna conoscere bene sia la storia dell’arte che i suoi concetti cardine per poter capire questi testi a fondo e tradurli nel modo più chiaro e leggibile possibile.
Ho più di vent’anni di esperienza in questo tipo di traduzioni e ho tradotto numerose pubblicazioni (libri, cataloghi e articoli per riviste) su arte, design e architettura per i più importanti editori nel settore. Mi sono diplomata all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera a Milano nel 1987 e da sempre mi interesso di arte, letteratura e la cultura umanistica in generale. Con i miei clienti ho costruito un rapporto duraturo al punto che con alcuni di essi collaboro da più di 10 anni. Consegno sempre entro i termini prestabiliti e preferisco rifiutare un incarico piuttosto che rischiare di comprometterne la qualità. Non ho mai usato software per traduzioni. Non redigo e controllo i testi di altri traduttori e tutto quello che mi verrà affidato verrà tradotto da me.
